Welcome to For Kids Only, a full service daycare facility, servicing the Ossining/Briarcliff Manor Community and the greater Westchester County area since 1996. We are committed to providing high quality, child-centered care in a safe and nurturing environment. Click here to view our Welcome video.

We offer full- and part-time care for children ages 3 months to 12 years. Our flexible programs are designed to meet the changing needs of today’s working parents.

  > Infant & Toddler Program (3-36 months)

  > Full Day Preschool (Ages 3–5 years)

  > Before School Breakfast Program (PreK-7th Grade)

  > After School Program (PreK-7th Grade)

For Kids Only is open from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday thru Friday, year round. Our menu includes well-balanced, nutritional breakfasts, snacks, and lunches, prepared daily in our on-site commercial kitchen.

We provide modern classrooms, library, gym, kitchen, and spacious outdoor play areas and comply with the regulations of the NYS Office of Children and Family Services.

 Opening a safe, high-quality childcare center in our community has always been my dream for many years. It is truly an honor to share the fulfillment of that dream with your family, and we are grateful for the trust you place in us each day. This is how For Kids Only was born!

For Kids Only has been thoughtfully designed and built to comply with the strict regulations of the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, supporting a secure, well-supervised environment where children can learn, play, and thrive. Our facility includes modern classrooms, Wi-Fi internet, a library, a gym, a kitchen, and spacious outdoor play areas — each space created to encourage healthy development, active learning, and joyful discovery.

We also understand the realities of busy family life. That’s why we offer flexible programs to meet the changing needs of today’s working parents, while maintaining the consistent routines and nurturing care children need to feel confident and at home and in life.

Over a decade ago, we recognized that reducing our carbon footprint wasn’t just a good idea—it was the responsible thing to do for our children, our families, and our community. That’s why For Kids Only became an early adopter and took a major step forward with our Solar Installation Project, helping transform FKO into the eco-friendly, more carbon-neutral facility it is today.

By investing in clean, renewable energy, we’re not only supporting a healthier environment—we’re also modeling the values we hope to instill in children: caring for the world around them, making thoughtful choices, and doing our part to protect the future.

The mission of For Kids Only is to provide high-quality child care with the flexibility today’s families need. We understand that schedules can change, and we strive to offer programs that support your family’s routine while keeping your child’s day consistent, secure, and enriching. Our motto is “De-Stress" – Not Distress.” We want yours and your child's experience to feel supportive and reassuring, and we encourage you to speak with us about your family’s special needs so we can partner with you in the best possible way.

We provide a safe, nurturing environment that includes meaningful educational activities along with opportunities for free choice and independent exploration. Our programs vary to meet the developmental needs of each age group, helping children build social, emotional, and early learning skills in ways that are engaging and age-appropriate. Our experienced, caring staff are always present to guide learning, encourage positive behavior, and support growth in a learning-rich environment.

The safety of every child enrolled is our highest priority. No child will ever be left alone or unsupervised. On the playground, staff are assigned intentionally to ensure clear oversight of all areas of the outdoor play space. All staff are cleared through the State Central Registry and meet required screening standards, including submission of medical histories and fingerprinting.

In addition, our staff are trained in basic emergency care for children and participate in ongoing professional development to ensure best practices in safety, supervision, and early childhood education. For Kids Only is also licensed to administer medications as directed by the child’s physician, following established procedures to support children’s health and well-being as directed by the child's physician. 

As we always strive to help your child feel that “For Kids Only” is a safe, true home away from home—a place that is warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully structured to support learning, comfort, and confidence. We work hard to create a safe and protective environment where children feel secure, cared for, ready to explore, grow, and thrive.

We also encourage families to share special occasions with us. Such as, celebrate a birthday, or special life event, you may send in a simple, child-friendly snack (please keep it simple—no hats, favors, or goody bags). We have our own special ways of celebrating that allow your child to feel recognized and valued while keeping the classroom routine calm, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Also let us know if there is a new baby on the way or in the home, or even a new pet—these big life changes are important to children, and it helps us support them with that little extra care and understanding they need.

We have many age-appropriate toys and learning materials in our classrooms, so children do not need to bring toys from home. This helps us maintain a consistent, organized learning environment and reduces the chance of items being lost or broken. If your child has a special comfort item they like to rest/nap with, we’re happy to accommodate that—we will keep it safely in their cubby until rest time. It is often easier for children to share with school toys than with toys they feel a special attachment to from home. In addition, since safety is such an important factor, we do not allow any toy weapons, sharp objects, or gum.

For our older school-aged students we provide Wi-Fi internet access to perform all aspects of remote learning and homework, ensuring continuous and efficient education practices.

Our Center was specifically designed for childcare and to accommodate the many diverse activities required for the proper care and development of young children. Our facility includes 10 rooms within 4,300 sq. ft. on a large, secure property, including a oversized outdoor play area, a full commercial kitchen, and plenty of parking for convenient drop-off and pick-up.
