We have a wealth of experience in Child Care services, and we truly understand the need for flexibility in the programs we offer. We understand that a family's needs for child care may change as time goes on, perhaps because of changes in parents' work schedules, or extra-curricular activities as the children get older, or other family matters.

By offering a full array of programs, including Full-time and Part-time schedules, Before and/or After school care and drop-in service for registered students, we help ease the burden of having to meet a rigid child care schedule.

Throughout the day, children are engaged in activities that enhance language skills, promote imagination and guide them toward independence. Teachers use arts and crafts, music and literature to fill days with meaning.

For Kids Only is licensed by New York State Office of Children and Family Services which allows us to offer extended hours to our nursery school parents. Registered children may remain for lunch, rest and afternoon activities at an hourly rate. Parents may indicate a set number of hours each week when registering their child or call on an as-needed basis.

Here the children continue on the developmental path from our 3 & 4 year-old program. Their language skills are enhanced thru music, literature and science.

They have opportunities to work on small motor skills through age-appropriate puzzles, games and toys.

Children are introduced to a variety of community service opportunities. Grades 4+ have an opportunity to assist in the operation of our school store. Indoor gym gives flexibility during inclement weather.

We also offer a Drop In program for children to attend on 1/2 days, holidays, school closings and snow days only. Children attending this program must have a complete registration including medical forms. Fees for the Drop In program will be applied at an hourly rate.

All school-age children are accompanied to and from school bus for pick up and drop off by staff .

Our program continues from school's closing through August. If you do not use our camp program, we require a summer holding fee to ensure your child's spot for September. This fee can be used during camp weeks only. If you choose not to pay the holding fee, your refundable deposit will be returned and you will have to register in September. (if space is available)

Activities are designed to be age-appropriate and promote free choice as we guide them towards independence.

We are happy to offer classes in the ancient martial art of Kung Fu. This ancient form of martial arts has roots going back more than 4,000 years in China,  where it has long held philosophical and spiritual significance within the culture.

Our program, held at FKO in the afternoon, is taught by Lao Shr ("expert student") Matt Lapidus. Matt began his martial arts training at 5 and has continued for the last 19 years. The program is available at additional cost.
